Who has been to Copper Harbor?
To anyone who has not been to Copper Harbor, you need to put it on your must-see list! It is an amazing place with so much to offer- camping, fishing, hiking, and the point where US-41 begins (it ends in Florida!).~Erin J
Nice pic....Question, why is the dirt/sand a red color?
It is my understanding that our reddish color up here is a result of the Keweenaw being a result of major volcanic action a long, long time ago.
Thanks for the info.....I had no idea that at one time where was volcanic action here in the state of Michigan.
One of the first times I was in Copper Harbor we went to a bonfire right on the beach. What a great night.
